Dutch government websites not secure
2011-09-05
The Inside Ministry stopped short Sat. of alert users not to go to central authority sites, but announces they should heed security alerts from their Browsers or the sites themselves. DigiNotar, a personal company utilised by the Dutch executive to substantiate internet sites as valid, latterly recognized it was hacked in July. The hack compromised security certificates that guarantee personal communication between a user's browser and a site. Browsers like Google's Chrome now issue alerts to folk who try visiting sites that use Diginotar. Mavens suspect Iran's administration launched the hack to snoop on dissidents using Google e-mail.
