The Austrian authority that collects state TV charges from shoppers asserts hackers have taken 214,000 info files from its server, including 96,000 containing delicate deposit account info. GIS announces the cyberattack by a group identifying itself as "AustrAnon" happened Fri. . It claimed Monday that it has started informing purchasers whose information has been nicked and is acting to improve security. Austrian state TV is partly financed by viewers' charges. The perpetrators are thought to be linked to the loosely knit hacker group "Anonymous," renowned for cyberattacks across the planet.
